New Delhi : The Supreme Court Monday granted the CBI time till Jan 15 next year for completing its probe into the alleged staged shootout killing of Maoist leader Cherukuri Rajkumar alias Azad and journalist Hem Chandra Pandey in Andhra Pradesh in 2010.
Perusing the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) status report, the court said that one or two conclusions do “not support the theory of the encounter being fake”.
