New Delhi : The final contours of the meetings between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani at Mohali, where the two leaders will see their teams clash in the World Cup semi-final Wednesday, are being worked out, a senior official said.
“We are waiting for the detailed programme of Prime Minister Gilani. The schedule of talks between the two leaders, during the match or after the match, are being worked out,” the official told IANS.
Meanwhile, reports from Chandigarh said that tight security measures have been put in place for the visit of the two prime ministers Wednesday.
Manmohan Singh and his wife Gursharan Kaur will stay overnight at Punjab Raj Bhawan in Chandigarh, a Chandigarh administration official said.
Gilani will be staying at the Taj Hotel, along with the two teams, the official added. His delegation will be accommodated at a Chandigarh administration guest house.
On Monday, a two-day home secretary level talks between the two countries began here.
