In reply to Letters Rogatory sent by CBI, Scotland Yard has provided crucial documents in in the AM Films and AM Vans case.

“The documents received from the Scotland Yard have been analysed and a chargesheet may soon be filed in the case,” said the officer.

The vehicles in London were allegedly hired at exorbitant rates from AM Films and AM Cars — owned by Ashish Patel.

These documents are crucial in establishing alleged irregularities and quid pro quo in awarding contracts given by the Organising Committee to Patel’s companies, said the officer.

Jailed former Games Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi had allegedly authorised the payments to Patel’s firms at exorbitant rates.

The CBI had registered two cases against OC officials and Patel Nov 15, 2010.
