After the magnificent win in Aurangabad civic polls, MIM is now expected to give good fight in this election too and increase its foothold beyond Marathwada. It is keenly looking to spread its wings in the state through representation in local governing bodies.

Elections to several zilla parishads and municipal corporations are scheduled in November and December.

Anjum Inamdar, MIM’s core committee member told TwoCircles.net, “We will be going to contest from 85 places. Earlier the number was less but number increased as we are finding good response from many places”.

Party’s star campaigner and its chief Asaduddin Owaisi will be campaigning for the election in some areas.

“Barrister sahib (Asaduddin Owaisi) would visit some cities to boost party workers. He would also advice party leaders on election”, Inamadar added.

Speaking on areas of focus for the party, Inamdar said, “We are keen to make entry in Vidarbha region and therefore we have issued guidelines to local leaders to prepare for the polls by going between the people. We have good expectations from Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal and Buldhana districts”.

MIM also wish to display good show at Mehkar, Shrirampur, Karad, Jalgaon, Manmad, Bhusawal and Yeola municipal councils.
