New Delhi : Condemning the latest terror blast in the capital, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said Saturday that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government lacked the will to contain terror.
BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said: “The UPA government seems to be interested only in debating terror, but has no will to contain it.”
The bomb blast at Mehrauli flower market killed one person and left 17 injured.
Party president Rajnath Singh, in a message from Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he has gone for a rally, said: “Terrorists have declared a war against the country and the prime minister, it seems, has lost his commitment to fight against terror. They are still playing their vote bank politics and play only on the sympathies of the minorities.”
The bomb blast came exactly a fortnight after five blasts in the capital killed 24 people and left over 100 injured.
