Mumbai : Finish off Pakistan to finish terrorism, Vishwa Hindu Parishad international president Ashok Singhal said here Tuesday, adding, “we need brave leaders, not cowards”.
Singhal told mediapersons: “Even the US, the UK, Europe, Australia and Africa are fed up by what is happening. Finish off Pakistan to finish terrorism.”
Despite repeated questioning, Singhal declined to give a direct reply whether India should declare a war against Pakistan.
Expressing the need for doing “homework”, including snapping diplomatic ties with Pakistan, discontinuing the Samjhauta Express and removing ISI bases in India, he said: “They have already launched a war against India. You cannot prevent a war…”
Singhal also called for action with an “iron hand” against all the Bangladeshi Muslims living here by deporting them back to their country. He demanded stopping what he described as `Talibani education’ imparted by madrassas.
Citing Operation Entebbe of 1976, Singhal said that some Israeli nationals were taken hostage in Entebbe (Uganda) by jehadis, but Israel gave them a fitting reply and rescued its citizens safely.
“But for this, we need brave leaders, not cowards,” Singhal said, taking a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for handing over Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Maulana Masood Azhar in return for hostages of a hijacked Indian Airlines flight that was taken to Kandahar in Afghanistan.
