Shimla : Temperatures across the hills of Himachal Pradesh dipped a few notches Tuesday though the sun shone brightly.
Shimla recorded the minimum of 4.7 degrees Celsius, down from Monday’s 5.6 degrees, said Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office, adding that bright sunshine greeted people in most parts of the state.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district and Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 10.6 and minus 6.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
In both these towns, the minimum was minus 9.9 and minus 5 degrees Celsius Monday.
Sundernagar in Mandi district had a low of 0.7 degrees, while it was 0.6 degrees Celsius at Bhuntar in Kullu district.
Dharamsala in Kangra district saw the night temperature at 5.3 degrees while it was 1 degree at Una and 1.4 degrees Celsius at Solan.
The met office predicted dry weather across the state Wednesday.
