Mumbai : Five people, including two children, were killed Monday when a jeep in which they were travelling collided with a truck in Maharashtra’s Solapur district, police said.
The accident occurred on the Velapur-Pandharpur highway, some 300 km southeast of Mumbai. The truck driver escaped.
The dead were among 15 people from Nilanga village in Latur district who were going to a temple in Pandharpur.
