Canterbury : India’s opening batsman Gautam Gambhir is yet to recover from the concussion he suffered during the fourth and final cricket Test against England and is doubtful for the five-match ODI series.
Gambhir is still having problems with his vision and missed the second practice game against Kent here Friday. Gambhir also missed the first warm-up game that India won against Sussex by 11 runs.
Team sources said that Gambhir is trying to get fit for the third warm-up game against Leicestershire slated for Aug 29 to get back in form for the one-off Twenty20 and five one-day internationals.
But the Delhi batsmen is having a tough time fixing his sight. He attended a 45-minute net sessions at Hove but had problems in picking the balls thrown down by bowling coach Eric Simmons.
