Bhopal : A woman who could neither speak nor hear was gang raped for a week by three persons in Depalpur area of Indore, the commercial centre of Madhya Pradesh, police said Friday.
The three used the woman’s two-year-old kid to blackmail her, by putting a knife on the child’s neck every time they gang raped her, said an official.
It is the third gang rape case in the state within a fortnight. Earlier, two cousin sisters in Betma area in Indore and two sisters in Shivpuri district were gang raped.
The 36-year-old woman, a resident of Limboda village, was gang raped by the people who had their office near the victim’s residence.
Shaligram Sankhedia, sub-divisional officer of Depalpur said: “Police have registered a case against the three but the accused are absconding.”
He said the woman has been sent for medical examination.
