New Delhi: On the occasion of the World Disability Day, Dr. K.R. Narayanan Centre for Dalit and Minorities Studies, the centre that looks into different forms of exclusion and marginalisation, in collaboration with India Alliance for Child Rights organised a Core Group Discussion on “Working for Childhood to be Safe and Free From all Forms of Violence” on December 4, 2012 at Jamia Millia Islamia.
While welcoming the participants, the Director of the centre Prof. Azra Razzack highlighted the need to engage with research in this area – especially when it comes to understanding disability along with other forms of marginalisation and exclusion.

The core group discussion was chaired by Poonam Natarajan, Chairperson of the National Trust, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and attended by faculties from different streams from the university.
