An army spokesman told Radio Israel that the missile exploded without causing any casualties or material losses.

He also said Israeli soldiers killed early Thursday a Palestinian militant in Abasan town south of Gaza, where the Israeli Army intruded Wednesday evening.

The spokesman admitted that clashes took place in the town between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian militants who launched mortar shells at the Israeli military forces.

He claimed that the incursion in Abasan aims to destroy the infrastructure of militant Palestinian groups.
