Gaza : Israel said it filed a complaint to the United Nations over Monday’s Palestinian attack on Dimona.
Radio Israel said Tuesday morning that Israel’s representative at the UN Dan Gillerman sent a complaint to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and an other letter to the head of the UN Security Council.
It added that Gillerman said Israel has the right to respond to the attack and protect its people, expressing in his letter his condemnation of the support of terrorism on the part of some UN members.
Meanwhile, Radio Israel also said Israel is conducting an investigation to find out whether the Palestinians who executed the Dimona operation entered the city from south Al-Kalil in the West Bank.
Fatah’s Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and Martyr Ali Abu Mustafa Brigades, the military wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
A Palestinian bomber managed to blow his explosive belt up in a shopping mall in Dimona on Monday, killing and wounding around 50 Israelis, but a second bomber was shot dead before he fulfilled his mission.
