Ottawa : Recent polls by Angus Reid Strategies reveal that 58 percent of Canadians oppose extending military operations in Afghanistan beyond February 2009.
The inquiry also shows that 61 percent consider poor official account to keep a 2,500-strong contingent at the Central Asian country.
Conservative PM Stephen Harper recently sent to Parliament a resolution to extend security missions in Kandahar province but Liberal opponent Stephane Dion warned that he will contend.
