Mumbai : The 30-share bellwether Sensex of the Bombay Stock Exchange fell over 750 points in early trade Monday.
The index started well below its Friday’s close of 15,760.52. Then within the first 40 minutes, it had fallen to 15,006.47, as much as 754.05 points or 4.78 percent from the previous close.
The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange also fell to 4,531.25 during the same period, a fall of 214.55 points or 4.46 percent, from its closing point of 4,745.80 on Friday.
