Ramallah : Israeli authorities decided Thursday to imposed a complete closure in the Palestinian territories as a precaution as it celebrates the a Jewish holiday, Israeli radio reported.
The closure on the West Bank will last for two weeks starting this evening, the radio added.
Palestinians will be banned from entering Israeli territories except in emergency and humane cases.
The Jewish daily “Jerusalem Post” said that the Israeli Army was meanwhile put on high alert throughout the celebrations of the religious holiday and the 60th anniversary of establishing the state of Israel.
According to the daily, Israeli security will mobilized additional police personnel along the green line, stretching to the Israeli settlements.
An Israeli police spokesman said there is no specific threat or tips of possible attacks, but a general warning applies.
