Ramallah : Israeli Army forces imposed on Wednesday a closure on the West Bank which is to last until Thursday as the Jewish state marks Holocaust Memorial Day, Israeli radio reported.
The Israeli Army said the closure would be lifted after ceremonies marking the day, long as the situation permits.
The Israeli troops tightened security measures in the West Bank and the surrounding areas, and Palestinians were also banned from entering the occupied territories.
The memorial ceremonies are to start with sounding of warning sirens near a memorial sight in Jerusalem and the event will be attended by President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
