Cairo : The Arab Economic and Development Summit to be held in Kuwait IN January next year will mainly discuss the Arab Trade in Services Agreement, according to Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU) Ahmed Goweili.
Goweili, in a speech during a training programme held here Sunday, organised by the Council in cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO), said that the Arab League would issue a request in the two-day Kuwait Summit for Arab states to detail their intended services for the agreement.
He emphasized on the agreement expressing its significance to the aid of developing countries.
Trade in services presents an estimated 14 per cent of total trade between Arab countries.
Trade in services are between institutions or companies and consumers based in different countries, such as medical services and banking.
