Katmandu : The Constituent Assembly of Nepal has been impeded for the third day to start the process of transition due to Party protests in Madhes, south Nepal.
The Front for the Rights of the Madhesi People, Tarai Madhes Lokatantrik Party and the Madhesi Democratic United Front wish the region sharing border with India to be autonomous.
The leaders of those minority organizations at the Constituent Assembly said they will submit their own amendments to the draft Constitution arranged by the leading Seven Party Alliance.
The majority Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) and the Communist Party of Nepal United Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) termed absolutely unacceptable the Madhes request.
However, they wish seek for adequate definition of autonomy for Madhes province that the Seven Party Coalition arranged even before the Constituency Elections in April.
CPN-M Leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who hopes to become first head of government of the new born Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, blamed foreign powers for the political stagnation.
The gap has impeded since Saturday Interim Minister for Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs Narendra Bikram Nembang submit the draft Magna Carta to elect the leaders of Nepal.
The leading parties hope the AC may elect Wednesday its president, the prime minister, the president and vice president.
