Beirut : Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri has described as “very important” the forthcoming visit of Lebanese President Michel Suleiman to Syria.
Berri told reporters following a meeting with Suleiman on Wednesday that the two-day visit from Aug 13 “will be very important for Syria and Lebanon and for the region as well.”
He added that he discussed with Suleiman a set of domestic issues, particularly the platform of the new government and future work plans.
