Sana’a : Official talks session were held here between Yemen and Iran co-chaired by Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and his Iranian counterpart, Manuchehr Mottaki.
The session Thursday focused on mutual relations between the two countries and means of developing and boosting them so as to serve interests of the two countries’ peoples, in addition to reviewing regional and international developments of common concern.
Al-Qirbi affirmed the deep ties linking the two countries, noting the importance of translating these ties into tangible practical steps by opening wider bilateral horizons in accordance with President Ali Abdullah Saleh’s directives to boost relations with Iran.
For his part, Mottaki emphasized his country’s keenness to push mutual relations with Yemen towards greater heights to ease difficulties hindering the interests between the two countries.
