The French Minister explained that he has not had the opportunity yet to read the Iranian letter which has been transmitted to Chief of the EU foreign policy Javier Solana and the other five members of the Six major nations addressing the Iranian issue.

In an exclusive comment to KUNA, Kouchner said, “I have not read it yet, the others have read it. I cant say yet.” The minister continued to KUNA that he did not think there would be an “automatic rejection” of the Iranian letter and that the dialogue is not closed on this subject.

In earlier press statements, Solana said that the letter was “complicated, complex and difficult.” He said it would take time to study it but that there would be a “clear response from our part.” Kouchner revealed to KUNA that he would be taking formal delivery of the letter at 15:00 Monday.
