Abu Dhabi : The UAE and the US have begun joint military exercises involving land, sea and air drills.
The “Leading Edge 2013” exercise began Jan 27 and will go on till Feb 7.
The UAE Armed Forces, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) and armed forces of other “friendly and brotherly countries” are taking part, a statement said.
The exercise aims to improve international cooperation on preventing proliferation of weapons of mass destruction as well as to exchange expertise.
