Viqaruddin, a resident of Falaknuma, who was working as a store supervisor in Dubai, from where in 2011 just day after the Delhi court blasts he allegedly sent two simultaneous hoax mails to Cyber Wing of CCS claiming that IEDs were planted at five Ganesh pandal’s in the city. Those ruse terror mails did create panic, where red alert was sounded across the city.

However, no untoward incident occurred that day and Visarjan passed of peacefully. But city police determined to narrow down the sender, using the IP address traced the email to Dubai base server and after persistent effort established the identity of the sender. Police immediately issued circular to all international and domestic airports in the country.

Nearly after two years when Viqaruddin landed back in Hyderabad, IB alerted CCS which in turn arrested Viqaruddin and took him by surprise.

However, police has ruled out any terror angle in his mischievous mails and claimed that Viqaruddin was angered over police for not doing enough to control vulgar anti-Islamic campaign in social media, thus he wanted to create distress for them.
