Islamabad : President Pervez Musharraf and Caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro on Saturday condemned the Charsadda blast saying it was an attempt to sabotage the ongoing democratic process.
They expressed their condolences on the loss of innocent lives in the blast and directed the authorities to provide the injured with the best medical care.
The law enforcing agencies have also been directed to tighten up the security and ensure safety of the voters and candidates.
The President and the Prime Minister said the caretaker government is committed to holding of elections on schedule.
“Any effort to derail the democratic process or the holding of elections will be foiled,” they added.
