New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday called on his immediate predecessor Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here to inquire about his health.
According to AIIMS sources, Manmohan Singh went to the hospital at around 12.30 p.m. and spent some 10 minutes with Vajpayee, who was admitted to there Tuesday after he complained of giddiness and drowsiness.
"The prime minister inquired about Vajpayeeji's health from our doctors and also interacted with him," said a senior doctor of the institute.

Bhubaneswar: Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's security has been beefed up following email threat allegedly from 'Maoists', warning him to stop Operation Green Hunt in the state, police said.
"We have beefed up security of the chief minister after the threat email. We are also trying to track the source of the mail," said a senior police official.
The chief minister also expressed hope that the mailer would soon be tracked.
"After the recent email, police are on the job to track it down. I am sure that they will come with success," Naveen Pattnaik said.
