He will formally launch the party later this month. Chiranjeevi told reporters that he would launch the party "before the end of this month" and would make an announcement "in a couple of days". The actor, who had so far confined himself to social service, is launching his party when the state is gearing up for the elections scheduled early next year.

Two RSS workers attacked, injured in Kerala

The RSS was quick to blame the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) for the violence against its men. Suresh Babu, 26, and Dinesh, 25, were injured when attacked at Panoor, around 40 km from Kannur town, Sunday night, the police said. They were returning after attending an RSS programme. The condition of one of the injured is said to be serious.

Slain assailant in Varanasi shootout from Samajwadi Party
