Hyderabad, May 18 (IANS) Thirteen people were killed, including six in police firing to quell violence, after a bomb ripped through one of the city's oldest mosques during Friday prayers. A nationwide alert was sounded in the aftermath of the blasts. Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi said: "Seven people have died in the blast (at the Mecca Masjid) and six in police firing." More than 40 people were wounded in the blast in the 17th century Mecca Masjid in the old city area.

Plot thickens – another headless body outside Tihar

New Delhi, May 18 (IANS) A headless body bearing a tag saying "Catch me if u can" was found near Delhi's high security Tihar jail Friday. Police suspect that a psychopath killer could be on the prowl as this is the third such incident since October last year. According to police, the body was found dumped in a sack outside gate number one of the jail Friday morning. It has been sent to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital for autopsy.
