Bangladesh prepares for cyclone, security forces on alert

Son of a jeweller killed, ornaments stolen in Delhi

By IANS, New Delhi : A 35-year-old son of a jeweller was killed at his shop by unidentified robbers, who fled away with ornaments worth millions Sunday in Tilak Nagar area of west Delhi, police said. "The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Ashok Kumar was at his shop when two men entered and at knife-point asked him to hand over all the jewellery," a senior police officer said. "When Ashok resisted, they stabbed him. The robbers then fled with jewellery. Ashok was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries," the officer added.
