Shimla : A total of 128 candidates have filed nominations for the May 23 Shimla municipal corporation elections, officials said Saturday.
The Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are contesting all the 25 wards in the Himachal Pradesh capital. The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) will contest 12 seats.
The Congress has controlled the corporation since it was set up in 1986.
