‘Encounter specialist’ police officer shot dead

Gurgaon, March 25 (IANS) Assistant Commissioner of Delhi Police Rajbir Singh was shot dead on the outskirts of the national capital allegedly by a property dealer following a dispute over money. AMU to reopen in phases

AMU to help link madrassas to mainstream education

Lucknow : In an attempt to open up mainstream higher education in India to madrassa students, the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has decided to accredit several Islamic seminaries across the country.
