TNTJ resolution for Muslim reservation
By TCN News
The resolutions adopted at the Conference on The Rights of the Oppressed.
The Conference on the Rights of the Oppressed organized by Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamaath on July, the 4th , 2010 at the Island Grounds, Chennai unanimously adopted the following resolutions.
‘Narrative of shakhas and fulminations of right wing fundamentalists are now mainstream discourse’
With six MPs, the Lok Janshakti Party may not count for much in the 330-plus ruling NDA. But Abdul Khaliq, secretary general of LJP, is the first ally to speak out against ‘the unfettered hate being spewed’ against Muslims by ‘a long list of hate mongers’.
The by-election results in Bihar and UP are being viewed as a vindication of the deep-rooted and strong secular credentials of the nation. As heartening to the secular devotees is the Prime Minister’s statement that Indian Muslims would live and die for the country. However, the fact that the PM has thought it necessary to underline the patriotism of Muslims is in itself deeply disturbing. Implicit in the statement is the frightening reality of how the Muslim is viewed in today’s India.
Railway to raise women security force from minorities, backward classes
By TCN News,

Presenting her second budget as Railway Minister in the UPA Government, Mamata Banerjee presented a populist railway budget with no hike in passenger fares and freight tariffs besides more than 100 new trains.

By Ajmal Khan and Anish for TwoCircles.net,
Professor Kancha Ilaiah had well predicted that Narendra Modi would become the next Prime Minister under BJP, and he has also been instrumental in raising criticism on how Indian Left failed to understand the caste question. After the parliament elections, he described how the caste equations has been used in the country by the BJP. As soon as the BJP came into power, many decisions have already been taken by the ruling government, which will have far reaching consequences on the lives of dalits, adivasis, Muslims and Bahujans. In this context, Ajmal Khan and Anish engaged in conversation with Kancha Ilaiah, writer, a dalit rights activist and former Professor and head of the Political Science department at the Osmania University, Hyderabad, on contemporary politics in India, particularly on Muslim, Dalit and Bahujan politics. He argues, that Muslims will have to form their own national party or a national coalition of all the Muslim parties by retaining their political and social identity.
