By IANS, Hyderabad : Andhra Pradesh Police Friday arrested Telugu film actor Rajasekhar for seeking votes in the name of caste. The actor, who is campaigning for the ruling Congress, was arrested for violating model code of conduct in Srikakulam district in north coastal Andhra, police said. A case was registered against him at Tekkali police station for seeking votes in the name of caste. He was later released on bail. Rajasekhar and his wife Jeevitha are campaigning for the party in the region, which goes to polls in the first phase April 16.
